captainsthor:

in after all these years, Marvel never fails to amaze me of how well-thought and connected every movie and every scene is. not that we can relate to every character on some level, we understand their fears, pain, love, every emotion. that being said I want to share with you guys what I discovered through rewatching every movie, one by one, that made me realize how Marvel Movie creators are simply genius.

We can all agree Age of Ultron sucked on some level. Personally I loved it just for one scene and that is Visions our characters had. those scenes predict not only the future of unreleased movies, but the actual outcome of Infinity war and to remind you Age of Ultron was released in fucking 2015

Why were visions so important? BECAUSE as we know, the stones are intelligent. They’re not just source of power. Soul Stone has wisdom, Space stone was the one, who sent Red Skull in Vormir.  Wanda created this visions and she got her power from MIND STONE. this was probably a warning for Avengers, but they were shadowed by the most terrific, sad, bad memories and fears and only Thor was the one, who took it serious enough.

Alright let’s start my endless essay of why I freaking love that scene.BUT before that I want to say that there’s one deleted scene, which was Thor being possessed by a dark witch and you should check it out.

1. Tony’s Vision

in Tony’s vision Cap’s shield is broken, which means their broken relationship in Civil War.

“You could have saved us” that line might refer to the fact that IF Tony called Steve sooner in Infinity War, if he made up with him or not break the relationship in the first place, they might have defeated Thanos. IF Tony kept Avengers together, they might have stood a chance against him.

“Why didn’t you do more” Same reference. same energy. but different meaning, since Tony will blame himself in the future for not doing more against Thanos.

he also sees a portal, which is opened by space stone. it refers to the outspace threat earth might be in, in the future.

2. Steve’s Vision

Steve sees the life he could have had. he sees the World war 2 ending and Peggy and him finally having a dance.

ONLY to find everyone gone. that might explain that he lost Bucky and Sam due to the snap aka closest friends he has got, leaving him all alone, as we see him in the end of the IW.

War’s over Steve” that line doesn’t seem right to him. he should be happy but he’s not. that might refer to the unpredicted threat they faced in Infinity War.

3. Thor’s Vision

finally, my favorite vision which gave us:

The sneak peak of Infinity gauntlet (3 fucking years earlier)

“They see you leading us to hel” which gave away Ragnarok. the planet was destroyed. Thor had to do everything but they said that “Asgard is not the place, it’s people”. “you are destroyer, Odinson” Thor lead Asgardians into a ship, to bring them to earth. only to face Thanos along the way, who killed half of Asgardian families and it was Thor’s fault, he lead them to Thanos.

after that we see Thor surrounded by thunder. by that time Thor didn’t discover that his power lies not in Mjolnir, but himself, so that kind of foreshadows Thor’s lightning powers in Ragnarok.

Heimdall’s eyes. they were white. in the deleted scene, which I mentioned above, Thor has White eyes too. He was possessed by dark witch. in Infinity War, when Heimdall sends Hulk to Dr. Strange, we hear him saying “Brothers, let the dark magic flow through me one last time”. *cough* witch Heimdall? *Cough*

“See where your power leads” Heimdall says this, this might foreshadow when he has to travel in Nidavelli, the source of his hammer, to create a new weapon.

in the deleted scene, we hear dark witch saying that the only way to stop Ulton is Sacrifice. Sacrifice was the only key to stopping Thanos and we saw that multiple times. he won because our heroes couldn’t make a sacrifice, and Thanos could (by killing Gamora)

1. Peter Quill – Killing Gamora, before Thanos even got her

2. Wanda Maximoff – Killing Vision by destroying the stone

3.  Stephen Strange – Destroying the time stone

4. Gamora – By letting Thanos Torture/Kill Nebula and not telling him where the soul stone was.

to add some extra spice to this let’s add something from Natasha’s Vision:

They’re silenced. in Thor’s vision Heimdall can’t see and Steve’s vision ends with no sound aka Steve not hearing. This means that Stones try to warn Avengers about possible threat that is Thanos, but our heroes are blinded by their own memories and fears and can’t understand it.

After everything said above, not only I can fight everyone that Age of Ultron was actually GREAT, only for these visions, but that there is no coincidence, no loose ends in Marvel Cinematic Universe. In MCU everything makes sense, it just takes time for us to realize what it meant. MCU puts little secrets in each and every movie, which makes sense as we go on and that’s why DCEU can never, EVER beat MCU. That’s why it took 10 years to reach it’s peak and now, looking back, I think an Era was made, which will remain unbeatable for decades, just because of scenes like these.

Thank you for staying this long to actually read this, but I had to write it. I KNOW I LITERALLY DUG DEEP AND IT WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS IMPORTANT BUT I COULDN’T HELP IT.

I was going through my movies the other day and I stumbled upon an oldie but a goodie. “The American President” starring Michael Douglas and Michael J Fox. It struck me how unique both of their voices are and how listening to them catapults me back to my younger years in the single digits. My mother loved that movie, she cracked up at the one liners and really enjoyed the passionate performances of the talented cast. I was too young to understand the politics and honestly that is not what this post is about. It’s about reminiscing to the good old days.

So I thought this would be something you all could think about. Who is the voice that takes you back to the days of your younger years? Hell, use a gif to respond if you like. The void knows we all could use some positivity on this site.

Patrick Swayze in pretty much anything, but ESPECIALLY Dirty Dancing

Stockard Channing in… anything

The Entire Cast of The West Wing

Didi Conn from Grease and Shining Time Station if you wanna get waaaaay back to kiddo Kati.  And subsequently George Carlin and Ringo Starr who both played Mr Conductor on the show at one point or another.  And Tom Jackson as Billy Twofeathers.

Whoever sang the school house rock songs

The Charlie Brown adult “wahwahwah” sound cause I never understood why they just didn’t have a normal speaking voice
